Walking your dog
Please do not allow your dog to defecate on another person’s property or any public property. Besides the obvious unclean nature of it, who would want to track the feces of someone’s dog into their home or automobile? If you dog does “make a deposit” it is your responsibility to remove and dispose of it. This includes in alleyways and easements.
It is unlawful to allow your dog to defecate in any city park.
The Town of Flower mound has several ordinances regarding this issue. They can be found in Chapter 6 ANIMALS, ARTICLE II.
“If a pet defecates in a public park or recreation facility, it shall be unlawful if the person in control of the animal does not immediately remove any excrement from park premises or dispose of it in a town-provided trash receptacle. If an animal running at large defecates in a public park or recreation facility, the owner of the animal shall bear the foregoing responsibilities.” Sec. 6-48, (c)
